Yellow, is a somewhat nondescript colour, which could easily be confused with the White, currently used for Guests/Unregistered Members

Red is already in use for Aministration;
Purple is already in use for Technical Support;
Orange is already in use for the Community Moderators;
Blue is already reserved for the Moderators (not that we have any);
Green is already in use for Members.

Which only really leaves Grey and that's not very exciting

Gav i just thought.... what about changing Mods to Yellow, and making vips/ top posters blue? then there would be a colour spectrum.

Techy Admin- Purple
Admin- Red
Community Moderators- Orange
Moderators- Yellow
VIPs/ top Posters- Blue
Forum Members- Green

it would suit a colour scheming like what i showed above. if the Community Mod is Orange, then why not make a Moderator yellow and give blue to VIPs?

top posters would need a seperate group for a colour and i'd have to manually add them. Maybe its something i'll look into if we ever get any top posters lol

Yeah, i should have saved the colour code before i change it.. oh well the one now is the closest i can get it too.
