RE: Time Slips
lol hun, i was just writing a report for college and ended up writing about time slips - a world apart from gym instructing!!!
Now back to parallel universes - damn i mean physiology....... cras amet qui nunquam amavit; quique amavit, cras amet

RE: Time Slips
I'm more confused than ever now! I've been reading Einstein's theory of Time Dilation and it has only made matters worse! Why? Well time dilation makes sense and of course is possible, so if thats possible ......................
Its totally mind blowing stuff! When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark. |

RE: Time Slips
Just been reading that theory myself and can understand about space flight and the theory that the more your away from gravity the faster time goes, could this be the reason that the universe is measured in light years rather than earth years?
If we put both my theories together and include einsteins, i can only come up with this: Before the big bang, there was a planet and this planet contained human life. The scientists on this planet worked out that their planet was in danger and thus moved some of their people of this planet by shoving them all in a spaceship and putting them on another planet or flung them into space. The planet exploded in what we call the big bang, this explosion was big enough to rip time in half thus creating two time zones. The planet earth (our planet) formed and a few from the spaceship landed on here years later creating civilization. Meanwhile, the other planet still contained human life. Both planets are in two time zones and every now and again these time zones merge, opening a hole in time where both planets can see each other. This could explain why, one minute you walk past someone and the next, you see them again. cras amet qui nunquam amavit; quique amavit, cras amet

RE: Time Slips
OK, I'm cool with that! With one drawback - how can the same people exist on both planets? Or how can they see something of 40 years ago? If on the other hand the planet wasn't a planet but a dimension (the multiple dimensions of quantum physics)....................... (as you say created by the big bang) and as people we unknowingly straddle two or more of the dimensions at all times the time slip could happen if we quite literally step too far into one or other dimension. How you step into that dimension is something else to ponder! But who is to say the dimensions are static - they themselves could be moving!
This has really got my interest - can you tell! When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark. |

RE: Time Slips
I can sure tell hun, it gives me something to do :) other than college work.......
The possibility of existing on another planet is possible but you wouldnt exactly look like yourself, youd look similar but the genetic makeup would be unique thus changing the overall look. The rules of quantum physics do state that there are multiple dimensions. It may be that our world as we know it is split into so many dimensions that you could easily walk into another dimension and relive an event (de-ja vu theory) cras amet qui nunquam amavit; quique amavit, cras amet

RE: Time Slips
Absolutely. It could also account for the past lives people see during regression, psychic ability, even seeing the good old ghost. It could even be that our brains work on a different frequency or pitch in another dimension, so we are actually existing in two or multiple dimensions at the same time (being relative time of course!) Goodness me - we need a lab somewhere!

RE: Time Slips
Lets find one!! Just need a few human guinea pigs lol
All the theories i have put forward do allow past, present and future activity - so what you say is true and very possible. cras amet qui nunquam amavit; quique amavit, cras amet

RE: Time Slips
A fascinating concept - if we do indeed exist in different dimensions equally, but the life in each dimension remains unknown to another (except in the circumstances we've covered) I wonder what the heck we are all up to in the other dimensions? I'll want to look like Angelina Jolie in one, have the wealth of Ivana Trump in another, and the compassion of Mother Theresa in another. But I suppose I'm stuck with being just me in this one!
By the way I wonder if any other forum members will volunteer to take part in our little experiments? lol When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark. |
