Time Slips
I've been reading this article
http://www.historic-kent.co.uk/haunt13.html What do you all think? Possible or not? When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark. |

RE: Time Slips
Very interesting Littlecats......for me anyway I wouldn't discount the time slip theory, but might bracket it in with the whole string thoery and parallell universe thaaaaang....all of which is very very fascinating.

RE: Time Slips
Sorry 3littlecats, I dont think its possible........time is natural and not man made therefore it cannot be controlled by man. Time has been there longer than man, but it took man to count time. There is no possible way that i can think off for a time slip to happen, but thats just my scientific mind

RE: Time Slips
But "B".....what about the likely hood of parallel universes......there could be millions of universes happening in the same space at the same "time" ( time as you rightly stated being a man made concept) ......for want of a simplistic example -the sliding doors thing from the film of the same name. To my mind, also based on the science I have read/seen on tv etc, there may be conditions where more than one "universe" may become visible/apparent at one given moment ...could this not be "misdiagnosed" as a time slip ? :) x

RE: Time Slips
My own take is being able to absolutely visualise a prior time, rather like picking up on residual energy but stronger if you like. I don't know how it would be possible, but somehow think it just might be.

RE: Time Slips
U love calling me that dont you?
I dont disagree that there is a parallel universe as we only know a fraction about "our" universe. If we take "time" as an invariable constant (it stays the same) and we take multiple universes into account as invariable constant (also stays the same) then the chances of two or more universes colliding at any one point are very high therefore if we continue to say that time is unchangeable and the two universes are identical they will merge as one universe for a while thus giving you the misdiagnoses of time slip when in fact is the future or past catching up with us........... I can do the maths but i cant be bothered working out formulae at this time of night. Sorry if this baffles you xxxx cras amet qui nunquam amavit; quique amavit, cras amet

RE: Time Slips
It's an interesting concept. I have heard of it before as I have read a recent article about a time slip occurance in Liverpool(?) - the problem is, I can't remember where I have seen the article, so I can't link to it.

RE: Time Slips
Great minds indeed Believer, Its a fascinating one isn't it? With so many unrelated incidents can we 100% write it off as tricks of the mind? If there is a scientific explanation that doesn't involve alternate universe etc then what would it be? Can there even be an alternate universe or would we collide so often it would cause damage? Oh dear - I'm off!
I think I've gone into one tonight, I've been reading about time slips, projections, spontaneous combustion - I think I need a night out! Either that or therapy! When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark. |
