It's not a matter of accepting second best , if I would prefer to watch Ghost Hunters then I'd have joined a Ghost Hunters forum not a Most Haunted one. Therefore the people on this forum like what they see , apart from the odd comment , which in the real world is expected.
Not everyone is going to like everything the same all of the time , simple as.
You have your opinion same as everyone else.

I dont watch Ghost Hunters. I watched a few episodes and it doesn't do it for me. They never leave it for people to make their own mind up as such.

MH is what it is. Its why its a different show compared to GH.

I do watch Ghost Hunters and I do feel it is a better show.

What some of you fail to understand is this is not about liking or disliking members of Most haunted it is all about the fact I feel they are the wrong people to be in front of the cameras.

Do I dislike Kath, Karl or Stu I would say not, but how well do I know them I do not. However I see them on Most Haunted and on camera I feel they are out of their depth and I must say they are inept.

No I'm not saying it is only a site for devoted fans , what I'm saying is people like the format of MH which is why they joined a MH site and watch the programme.
And how can you say they are out of their depth? They cant be that bad at what they do for it to have taken off as well as it has done. Yes there is always room for improvement but I dont think that having a go at their education/background/qualifications is going to make the slightest bit of difference. You could have a very highly qualified psychologist and a team of highly qualified frontmen/women and still get the same results!
Lets face it , we dont know what goes on in the afterlife at the moment it's all speculation and I feel that having familiar faces on our screens makes for more comfortable viewing. Would you watch Most Haunted in the same way with different team/crew ? I think not , people would be comparing all the time.

Yes I would watch Most haunted if it was not all the same team. Yvette does a good job. I thought David Wells was great yet he moved on and I still watch it. But Ghost Hunters is more popular as it is on most night so Most haunted is in their shadow.

It would be nice to see Kath back doing her make up only because that is where she should be and Karl behind a camera.

I am sure they can find far better to replace them in front of the camera.

I accept some of you like these old faces but its time to move on just like we move on in life. As I have said look at football and how they change many of the player but the team carrys on. Man U do not field the same team as they did five years ago yes some of the players are still there but some have been replaced and I do feel it is time for some of Most Haunted old faces to be replaced by new faces it may even give it a new lease of life.

Oh how can you compare Football with Most Haunted , IMHO football is poo! Having said that you feel the same about Most Haunted so it's all good LOL

I'm not going to say anything else on the subject as I feel you dont want to know what we have to say.

Oh and just to add you say you would still watch MH in the same way , so a new set of faces wouldn't improve your views on the programme then ? LOL

wrong. i think we, as i have said before SHOULD BE NICE. simple as. we are not in control and we should accept this...its not complicated. its a tv show we have chosen to watch...why try and change it...improve the way things are done by constructive critisism yes...blatantly dis it and its makers no. end of.

this is really difficult PM as i think that what you are saying is fundementally not a bad thing...however...i find it difficult not to be intimidated by the fact that you are unwilling to accept other viewpoints.

Ghost Hunters isn't a patch on PSI (Northern Irelands greatest haunts). I watched Ghost Hunters, seen N.I.G.H and didn't watch GH again because i seen a far better show which was made better and to be honest, far better investigators.

MH is what it is. It has its fans and it has been a phenomenal success. You can't argue with that.

My problem with MH and has been for a bit now is they need to start focusing on getting stuff on camera. If that means setting up more locked off cameras, so be it. Just give us the option of seeing all rooms (esp) on the LIVES. A few fresh faces would be nice too.

All MH needs is a few new faces, more locked off cameras, get Chris involved more (regardless of your views on mediumship, what is the point of locking him up in a room?). Stuart and Karl NOT going off with each other. Split them up and basically mix about with it.

oooo missed this debate until now....

plenty of stuff to get my teeth in to....

1. I DOOOO like Cath.. however the "show" on Saturday was sadly better because she wasn't in front of camera - that is MY opinion.

2. By now the "core" team members should either be used to the "goings on" of paranormal / rational / and dare I say "manufactured" phenomena so they DON'T scream...

3. New blood - Simon and Matt - how grateful I am that they are there on the team..

4. I've had enough of Karl and Stuart and have noted that we only really get them on the Tuesday night follow up programme - I have switched off... sorry but even as an MH "fan" - they are too much... and also note who edits the programme...

Yes I did enjoy Lincoln Gaol - but not as much as where I was at the weekend on my own ghost hunt / investigation / wander round a reputedly haunted building.... em yes it is!!! And going back!!!

snoochieboochies, to see your point does not mean I have to agree with you. Most on here are deadicated Most Haunted fans so of courser I will get more people who will disagree with me however it does not mean I am wrong.

If you look at my post you will see often I have looked into the proffesional background of those I highlight.

One state I was wrong to compair Most Haunted with football, I could compair it with any walk of life. So just for that person lets look at the popular Ghost Hunters they have been on our screens not as long as Most Haunted yet some of their crew has changed and they keep changing the crew and I for one feel this adds to Ghost Hunters.
