Derek Hit's Out!

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
I being a fan of Derek have a personal feeling that the poor guy had to take any info on board and use it as part of the growing pressure from Yvette and Karl on getting more and more out of him, and that was evident in the sixth series, a blind man could see that, however iam not going to excuse wot he did, i can however understand why he did it, yvette and Karl are very demanding and intimadating people when they want to be,,,,,,in my opinion anyway!

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
Im a big fan of Derek Acorah and truly believe in what he did was real. Like everyone else has said, the guy was under pressure from Yvette and Carl to "provide information".........i still trust in what he did, no matter what the media says. All i can say is, well done Derek for trying to fight back and defend yourself

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
I'm another that feels kinda sorry for Derek. He must have been under pressure (whether from Karl & Yvette, or personal pressure) to provide information etc and if it wasn't coming through, I guess he had to make it up or rely on information handed to him instead. Lets face it how would it have looked if he had been on and said 'sorry - not picking anything up at all at this location' a couple of times? It certainly wouldn't have impressed so many viewers would it?

I'm sure the man is genuine (by that I mean he genuinely believes he can communicate with the spirit world - whether anyone actually can is another topic!)

When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark.

What was the poor bloke surpossed to do, with so much pressure being put on him to perform?.....Allthough i think he should have remained true to himself and left like David did.Not doing so DID hurt his reputation.[Image: winking0071.gif]

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
Great entertainment but he should of had more sense to NOT fall for it. They played him like a puppy.

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
I think he has got over the issue, but i feel that his career is in tatters.......who really wants to employ a medium that is supposedly fake.......mind you he has got a few programmes out, so he is picking up. Good lad Derek, dont let the £%$£%$£% grind you down..

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
I honestly don't know how any of them would have got round it tbh. If he was signed up to complete the series and started to get 'the block' I'm not sure what any of them could have done. If and its a big IF they knew that he was in trouble, it was a little unfair to treat him the way they did (meaning they knew it was faked and to his face for a while tolerated it) - if, another big IF they didn't know, then I s'pose it was fair game.

Whatever, nothing can change it now and I 100% hope Derek can find a niche for himself in TV, either as a medium (very difficult now I would think) or even as a presenter for a different paranormal show (I think he'd be very good at that) or historical documentaries about the burning years, the plague, great fire of London, etc etc etc

When the light begins to change, I sometimes feel a little strange, a little anxious when its dark.

RE: Derek Hit's Out!
People do love him really, believers and skeptics alike. So i think he will be around for a long time to come. He is great entertainment. I think he would also be excellent at doing DVDs on the great fire etc, ghost stories etc.
