Crystal Healing

Just interested in your thoughts on Crystals and healing properties. Whilst not strictly paranormal, a lot of talk is about spirits connecting with the crystals, so it kinda fits!

I absolutely swear by them, and without them am certain I would have lost one of my cats (sadly now waiting on Rainbow Bridge for me, but he did last until he was 18 bless him) 5 years prior to his actual passing. I used to sit and rub/stroke him with a certain crystal every day when he was really poorly and virtually blind. He made a full recovery and his sight returned to as good as it gets for a 13 year old puss. I will just add that although he was very poorly I was assured by the vet he wasn't in any pain, or suffering, but it was very touch and go.

I have crystals in every room in the house, carry them in my bag or wear one form or another every day and I can sense my mood change or get different physical feelings from different ones.

For me, I believe its because of the energy they gain from the earth, coupled with differing mineral contents that give them certain 'powers' and healing properties. That said I know I am a firm believer in them and am quite open minded as to why they work.

I, personally, am open-minded about their healing capabilities, but I have a Friend who used to practise Reiki until his illness prevented him from continuing. He has crystals all over in his flat.

He gave my Mother a Rose Quartz that had cracked during a Reiki session he had with her and told her to bury it in the garden so it would heal. She buried it under a Rosemary bush and it doesn't matter how harshly we cut it back, it always regrows.

hi 3littlecats,i also have crystals around my home,and i carry a small bag of crystals in my handbag,the one david wells used a lot was the black obsidian,it forms a protection against negativity,and absorbs negative energy when around you,if you place it by your bed or under a pillow it can draw out mental stress and tension and have a calming effect,also blue jasper connects you to the spiritual world,azurite is another crystal with powerful healing and guides your pyschic development.i find crystal healing very interesting,and am open minded about it all.

Good to know I'm not alone! I have Celestite in our bedroom, along with some black obsidian. Our sitting room has a few too many to list them all, but a lovely smokey quartz, some agate slices, citrine and yet more obsidian. The study has quite a few too, but I'm sat looking at some flourite, iolite and carnelian!

It was an amethyst I used on my old puss that worked wonders.

I also bury my crytals when they need it Nutty - it does heal them and also cleanse them if they have been used a lot. People must think I'm very bad a keeping house plants, as I have all these flowerpots in the conservatory with what looks like nothing but earth in - I return smaller crytals to earth that way so I know I can find them easily again when the time is right!

I generally cleanse mine under cold runnign water and then leave them in the moonlight. one of my favourites is my green jasper orb. I find its soothing and takes away my anxiety. I have an issue with Panic attacks.
I wear a lot of amethyst for protection.

Well being pagan there are somethings I have to say are rubbish and crystal healing is one of them?

However saying that I have held crystals and some have been warm to the point of being hot. I held one crystal and I gave it back it felt terrible and freezing. So on this I have to remain sceptical.

I am not keen on hokus pokus and tarot cards ect to me it is cxxp but you know that is only my opinion and everyone has a right to their own.
