I have just read on another forum that Chris will not longer be doing Most Haunted although I can't find anything on his website that says this officially!

I quite like Chris and think of him as another David Wells.

After being sidelined by the ego's of others on the past two lives and the recent Live series, Chris Conway has resigned from MH and MHL. The competition for camera space has meant a thoroughly decent and unassuming man has seen no other option but to quit. With the camera constantly in Yvette's face only briefly moving when Karl has one of his episodes, Chris must have felt exasperated at not being able to give a true and uninterrupted view of events as he sees them.
I noticed Lesley jumping on the band-waggon last night too claiming she needed more from Chris to authenticate her history. How quickly she seems to forget having told anyone who would listen her REAL reasons for leaving MH the first time round. You think there'd be a little more understanding from the woman especially as she herself has just jumped back onto a sinking ship to satisfy her over inflated ego.

A real shame Chris is calling it a day.

I read his fb page from the link on the other thread and can't help but wonder his reasons. To say "I can no longer continue as Most Haunteds resident medium." only makes me more suspicious of any manmade incidents - perhaps he wants to distance himself from them whilst he still has full credibility. Mush as I loved DA for his showmanship, and DW for being an all round lovely guy, Chris has got my respect and admiration for his skills and general conduct (ie will not be pressured into saying something when there is nothing to say) I think the show will really miss him and will struggle to find a replacement that we can trust as much.

I wish him all the very best with any future ventures and hate to say this but think he's done absolutely the right thing.
