After King John of Luxembourg accorded the citizens of Prague the privilege of having their own district council in 1338, they decided to build a Town Hall, paid for by a duty levied on wine. The almost 70 meters high tower was completed in 1364. Due to continuous expansions, the building now is a colorful collection of gothic and renaissance-style façades. During the 2nd World War, the building was severely damaged when the nazis suppressed the Prague uprising, but it is now thoroughly restored.
26th March 2010 : Night Two
The team venture into the city’s underground maze of waterworks where mysterious noises have terrified local workers.

The team leave the comforts of the city and spend the night in the mysterious Castle Krivoklat.
Krivoklat Castle is located about 40 km west of Prague. It was built in the late 13th century as a hunting lodge, a weekend getaway for the Premyslid Princes and the seat of the royal master of hounds. Later, Wenceslas I built a stone castle on the spot and Charles IV used it in the 14th century.

Castle Houska. Why the castle was built or its main purpose is still a bit of a mystery in itself but it gets the nickname of “Gateway to Hell”.

It later passed to the hands of the aristocracy in which it remained until 1924, the times of the First Republic.

Half animal half man creatures were reported to have crawled out of it, and dark winged creatures flew in the vicinity of it. When construction was begun on the castle, all the inmates that were sentenced to death were offered a pardon if they consented to be lowered by rope into the hole, and report back on what they saw. When the first person was lowered in, after a few seconds he began screaming “pull me back up”, and when they did he looked as if he had aged 30 years in just a few seconds. He had grown wrinkles and his hair had turned white, as old folklore tales state. He was admitted to a insane asylum and died within 2 days. The castle was built with no fortications, near no trade routes, built with no water, no kitchen, and no occupants at its time of completion. Houska castle was not built to keep inhabitants or as a protective sancuary, it was built because they thought the hole was a gateway to hell. Thus, by constructing the Gothic building, they were able to keep the demons trapped in the thickest walls (the lower level walls closest to the hole) of the castle. The people who work there are said to know this, and they are just as spooked as you would expect them to be.

Over four nights, Yvette Fielding and her crew of experts in the supernatural will attempt to uncover the truth about the paranormal phenomena that have built up in the city over the centuries.

The city is also the site of several ancient castles, which are renowned not only for their architecture but also for their grisly pasts.

I know i have been away for a while and im slowly intergrating back into the forum, but i feel i have to say this.

This forum to me is a WONDERFUL place to come, talk about MH, air views etc .... it has FAB members and the moderators do an EXCELLENT job.

This morning i have noticed a few posts who seem to contradict my thoughts on this.

Moderating and Creating a forum is NOT an easy task, keeping up with posts etc (i know i have moderated on a few) and keeping the peace without coming across as though your a being a bit harsh isn't easy, but all the same they are here to do a job and appointed by someone who knows that they are capable of doing it.

All i want to say is if you DO NOT agree with something a moderator has put, then tell them so in a PM.
I find it rude and disrespectful to pull a post to bits infront of the other members.

They are in a position to do whats right for the forum and as a member of that forum it is your duty to respect there judgement.

If Mods want to remove this then ok, i just felt it needed to be said.

Lets just have a bit more respect for those that have a job to do ... after all they (along with members) keep this forum the nice, happy, pleasent place it is.

As I have been on several Most Haunted Lives and also the taped series, I can tell you that at no time was I ever given any information before or during any locations that were investigated. The team and crew even made it a point never to discuss anything about it in front of me. During an investigation, if there was any type of physical clues or history to that location present, I would throw it out and not use it as I knew it was tainted and would be up for scrutiny. It is up to any medium on the show to be able to receive and relay any information they may receive. In fact, I was actually encouraged to say "everything" no matter what part of the investigation we were on. This also includes sitting in the Hub during the live shows. Paul Ross would invite me to break in anytime with any information I was receiving while in the Hub. I personally was able to pick up many interesting facts on a location while sitting there.

When I was involved in the other aspects of the investigation such as séances or walk abouts, I can tell you the paranormal activity that I witnessed was not produced in any way, shape or form by any of the crew members. For example, tapping's that were heard would come from places no crew could access…such as inside a table or high ceilings. If you notice on some of the shows, I too would look under the table or the rafters to see where the source of the noise was coming from and to confirm it was in fact paranormal. Hey, even being a medium, I find the physical paranormal noises and activity fascinating!

With that said, all of the above is my opinion and my experiences with Most Haunted, Antix and Living TV. I can only tell you that I would never put my reputation and integrity on the line for anyone or any television show...my work means too much to me. I joined the Most Haunted team not as a career, as I have been a successful medium and author for many years, but to have the experience of ghost hunting with a knowledgeable and professional crew…which they are. Believe me, I would have left at the drop of a hat if I had witnessed any type of paranormal activity being set up or produced.

So all I can tell you is that I guess the experience of working on Most Haunted is what you make it to be.]]>
